Mitra Bonshahi is a documentary storyteller, producer, and editor based in Brooklyn. Her work spans audio and film, all driven by a passion for connecting with people on an emotional level. A bookworm at heart, she channels that love for a great narrative into every project she takes on. She’s drawn to the raw, unscripted side of life and aims to tell human stories with authenticity and empathy at their core.

Her work has been featured on NPR, PBS, and MSNBC, and has screened at festivals like Sundance and Tribeca amongst others. She feels lucky to be able to wear so many hats and tell stories across different mediums.
